The Book of Joel
Foreword by Rev. Jim Campbell
I want to commend to you this series of bible studies on the book of Joel, written by Michael Bostock.
The material gives you a brief introduction to the book, plus a series of studies which will help you to understand the meaning of the book and how to apply its message to your everyday life. I think the way to get the maximum benefit from the studies is to read the introduction to the book of Joel and then 2 or 3 times read through the book at a single sitting.
It is a short book and it shouldn’t take too long. After familiarising yourself with the book, move into the studies.
I would also encourage you to approach these studies prayerfully. Jesus has promised us the help of the Holy Spirit who is the author of the bible. As you look to Him for guidance, He will teach you what He wants you to learn from this book.
Michael has also volunteered to answer any questions you may have. You can contact him through the church office, office@firstards.org.uk. It would also be helpful to receive feedback about the studies. I hope you enjoy delving into one of the lesser known books of the bible, Jim.
